Whether you find it fearsome or fabulous, swimwear is a staple in the the summer girl’s closet and provides a quintessential snapshot of a particular era.
Just in time for warmer weather, the Esse Purse Museum is launching a new temporary exhibit that celebrates the garment titled “Changing Tides: 100 Years of Iconic Swimwear,” which opens Tuesday, May 10.
Featuring suits on loan from the collection of the Fashion History Museum in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada, this exhibit looks back at the styles that took water-bound babes by storm in the 20th Century.
Gingham bikinis, silk pageant suits, wool bathing costumes and more await guests at this exhibit through August 7.
