The Clinton Presidential Center will open a new special outdoor art exhibition on Saturday, May 22, featuring 26 globes that demonstrate the effects of climate change and potential solutions.
“Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet” is public art with a purpose. Each of the massive globes was created by a different artist, and will be on display throughout the Clinton Presidential Park.
“We are thrilled to host ‘Cool Globes’ as the Clinton Center’s first temporary exhibition in more than a year,” said Stephanie S. Streett, executive director of the Clinton Foundation. “The 26 vibrant globe sculptures will be displayed across the Clinton Presidential Park, where our visitors can enjoy self-guided tours at their own pace while maintaining appropriate social distancing.”

Founder Wendy Abrams announced “Cool Globes” as a Commitment to Action in 2005. The exhibit premiered in Chicago in 2006 and has been displayed in dozens of cities throughout the country and around the world.
“I am so honored that ‘Cool Globes’ is headed to the Clinton Presidential Center,” Abrams said. “It’s a real full circle moment for me. I hope that Clinton Center visitors will enjoy these beautifully crafted globes and walk away with a renewed commitment to our shared environment.”

Tickets are not required to enjoy the park or the exhibit, and the Clinton Presidential Library and Museum is still closed.
