Celebrate National Ice Cream for Breakfast Day With Loblolly Creamery This Saturday

Every February, one of our favorite nonsensical holidays rolls around, and this year, with the help of our favorite local scoop shop, we’re celebrating with gusto and extra sprinkles.

This Saturday, Feb. 1, is National Ice Cream for Breakfast Day (yes, it’s real), and to help ice cream lovers celebrate, Loblolly Creamery is once again serving up the deliciousness with a tasty twist.

Both the SoMa and Benton scoop shops are going back to 1985 this year with a “Breakfast Club”-themed menu to merge your breakfast worlds from 9 a.m. – noon. The official menu is still under wraps, but promises a lineup you won’t forget about. For reference, last year’s Waffle House-themed lineup included flavors like blueberry waffle, biscuits and gravy and orange creamsicle.

To add a bit more fuel to the day, Coffee on Wheels will also be set up on the street bright and early with classic and themed drinks starting at 8 a.m.

If you’re interested in a bit more of a drive and a view, head to the Pinnacle Mountain State Park Visitor Center where the Loblolly Outpost will be slinging cold brew floats and affogatos 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. The Loblolly Hillcrest Window will also get in on the day’s festivities with an exclusive ice cream sandwich pop-up.

And of course, if breakfast in your PJs is more your style, place an order online (for Friday pick-up) and stock up on Loblolly pints, flights, toppings, color changing spoons and more.

Learn more about all the Ice Cream for Breakfast Day fun on Facebook and Instagram, and place your preorders on the Loblolly website.
