Every February, one of our favorite nonsensical holidays rolls around, and this year, with the help of our favorite local scoop shop, we’re celebrating with gusto and extra sprinkles.
This Saturday, Feb. 7, is National Ice Cream for Breakfast Day (yes, it’s real), and to help ice cream lovers celebrate, Loblolly Creamery is once again serving up the deliciousness with a tasty twist.
All locations — the SoMa and Benton scoop shops and Hillcrest soft serve spot — are getting in on the morning menu starting at 9 a.m.
The official menu is still under wraps, but promises a lineup that includes Loblolly’s famous cereal milk-flavored ice cream. Previous years have featured everything from ’80s-themed flavors to blueberry waffle scoops a la Waffle House.
And of course, if breakfast in your PJs is more your style, you can place an order online and stock up on Loblolly pints, flights, toppings, color changing spoons and more.
