Cecil’s Fine Jewelry: Continuing a Legacy

Since purchasing the store in 2003, Becky Whelan and her team at Cecil’s Fine Jewelry have continued its legacy of providing high quality and personalized customer service.

As an interior designer for 38 years prior to purchasing Cecil’s, Becky Whelan already had an appreciation for exquisite things. It was a mid-life decision that propelled her into the exciting world of jewelry. After working at Cecil’s for two years, the business became available through the retirement of the owner and Whelan opted to continue the legacy. The process was an eye-opening experience for sure. Being a woman applying for a small business loan within an industry that had many variables and volatility seemed almost impossible. Whelan had the vision but not the funds to stock such a beautiful store. Arvest Bank along with supportive friends made her dream come true. The past 20 years have been a time of learning, listening and gratitude rewarding her with a business of which she can be proud to pass on to her daughter and son-in-law. Whelan attributes her success to fabulous clients and an exceptional staff, all members of the Cecil’s family.

“I am so fortunate to have my daughter Erin working with me in this glorious business. She is already carrying forward my ideals and love for Cecil’s. She and my amazing staff are the future of Cecil’s Fine Jewelry.”
