CARE for Animals Launches Paws at the Kitchen Pickleball Tournament

Ready your paddle and find your doubles partner. A new sporty fundraising event is serving up some comPETitive fun for a great cause this fall.

Paws at the Kitchen, the inaugural pickleball tournament benefiting Central Arkansas Rescue Effort for Animals (CARE), will bring its animal-loving community to the pickleball courts at Little Rock Athletic Club on Saturday, Oct. 3.

Dog lovers, cat lovers and pickleball players will battle it out, all to support CARE’s mission to rescue, rehome, spay and neuter companion animals across central Arkansas.

Similar to CARE’s popular Paws at the Net tennis fundraiser, this new tournament is sure to be a smash, with its title a nod to the “kitchen” zone closest to the net. So, whether you’re a seasoned pickleball player or simply looking for a fun way to give back, grab your gear and get ready to hit the court.

The inaugural tournament will run from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., and early registration is open through Sept. 9 for a discounted price. Proceeds from Paws at the Kitchen will benefit CARE and its work helping companion animals we’re lucky enough to call family.
