Candlelight Gala Coming Saturday to Historic Arkansas Museum

Historic Arkansas Museum’s big fundraising bash, the Candlelight Gala, 6:30p.m. Saturday (Nov. 9) will celebrate the museum’s Trinity Gallery for Arkansas Artists on the museum grounds, 200 E. Third St., Little Rock.

The evening will include a silent auction, dinner and live auction. First Lady Ginger Beebe and former First Lady Barbara Pryor, both known for their encouragement and support of Arkansas artists, will be part of the night’s program. New at the Gala this year will be mobile bidding system and guests are advised to bring their smart phones. In addition, an online auction site will allow for early bidding—and a chance to preview items—before the night of the Gala.

The exhibit, The Trinity Gallery for Arkansas Artists features and celebrates 40 years of exhibiting works by contemporary Arkansas artists. Proceeds from the Candlelight Gala are used to buy pieces for the museum’s permanent collection, Arkansas Made. Tickets are $200. To purchase click here or call (501) 324-9351.
