We can smell the fried greatness now.
Camp Aldersgate‘s annual fish fry is set for Sunday, Oct. 13, and we’re more than ready to get our hands on a plate.
Now in its 41st year, this family-friendly fundraiser is a crowd favorite and and brings the fun for all ages. In classic fish fry fashion, each ticket will include a fried fish meal box with all the fixin’s, and as is now tradition, this year will again offer a kids’ fishing derby, carousel rides and more activities to help attendees explore the grounds.
“It is great to get new people on the property and for them to get a glimpse of what camp is like for our campers,” event co-chair Ashley Parker says. “Many are not aware of what all is going on at Camp Aldersgate, and the Fish Fry is a great way to expose them to all we have to offer.”
You can order your feast ahead of the event or purchase tickets at the gate. There will also be a drive-thru option in the nearby CHI St. Vincent parking lot on Kanis Road for supporters on the go.
As always, proceeds from the event go toward the camp’s programs for individuals with disabilities and medical conditions.
