CALS Releases Star-Studded 2015 Movie Lineup

In the summer, soaring temperatures can sometimes force you into watching terrible movies. Desperation strikes at your weakest moment, and you end up going to see “Grown Ups 2,” just so you can enjoy the reclining stadium seats and frozen Cokes at the nearest movie theaters.

No more.

The Central Arkansas Library System just released its lineup of 2015 movie screenings for the downtown Ron Robinson Theater, and it is what dreams are made of.

  • June 26, 10 p.m. – Monty Python and the Holy Grail (special 40th anniversary showing)
  • June 27, 2 p.m. – The Goonies
  • June 27, 7 p.m. – Psycho
  • July 10, 10 p.m. – Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior 
  • July 11, 2 p.m. – Song of the Sea 
  • July 26, 6 p.m. – Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
  • July 27, 7 p.m. – Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
  • July 28, 7 p.m. – Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
  • July 29, 7 p.m. – Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
  • July 30, 7 p.m. – Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
  • July 31, 7 p.m. – Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

  • October 17, 2 p.m. – Tale of Princess Kaguya
  • October 21, 7 p.m. – Back to the Future (the real date shown in the Delorean)
  • October 30, 7 p.m. – Gone With the Wind
  • November 13, 7 p.m. – King Kong
  • December 4, 7 p.m. – A Christmas Story
  • December 10, 7 p.m. – It’s A Wonderful Life

Tickets are only $5 a piece, except for the Harry Potter marathon. Those showings are $7, or just $25 for a pass to the whole HP saga. Concessions are available for purchase, including beer and wine at post-5 p.m. screenings. For more information, click here.
