It seems like we’ve had a lot of brew news lately, not that we’re complaining. That just means we’re all the more excited about Blue Canoe Brewing Co. opening in the River Market in November.
Long-time friends Laura Berryhill and Patrick Cowan are setting up shop between Andina’s Cafe and Dugan’s Pub to finally sell to the public what they’ve been making for years. They’ll serve a variety of beers, everything from pale ales to milk stouts.
The plan right now is for the nano brewery and taproom to open its doors on Nov. 1. Berryhill and Cowan even set up a Kickstarter page to help fund some brewing equipment. Their $10,000 goal was met in about a week, with time still on the clock if you’re interested in helping Blue Canoe reach a new stretch goal of $17,375.
