Arkansas Zoological Foundation

The mission of the Zoo Foundation is to grow and develop the Little Rock Zoo. Because of the work of the foundation, the Zoo was able to build in 2011, the Laura P. Nichols Penguin Pointe exhibit featuring African penguins. In 2012, the Cheetah Conservation Outpost was opened. The new “Arkansas Diamond” train and tracks were installed and opened to the public in June 2014 and the Arkansas Heritage Farm opened in the spring of 2016. Now in its 90th year, the Little Rock Zoo is continuing to strive to provide engaging experiences that inspire people to value and conserve our natural world.
