Pucker up, another Local Lime may be opening in Little Rock — this one downtown.
Right now, the high-end Mexican restaurant and its delicious lime rice are located at the Promenade at Chenal in west Little Rock. But Yellow Rocket Concepts restaurant group is interested in adding a second location.
Ben Brainard, the chef and co-owner, said that the plan is still very premature and the company is discussing some “potential spaces.”
Downtown is “continuing to attract more and more people,” Brainard told our sister publication, Arkansas Business. “I think a lot of the wealthier folks are downsizing into lofts. I’ve seen it firsthand. That’s a trend that I didn’t expect to see, nor did my business partners. Otherwise, I think we probably would have put Local Lime down there sooner.”
Right now, Brainard said they are looking in a variety of different locations with no firm timeline.
