AMFA to Host Free ‘Delta Voices’ Artist Talk

On Thursday, July 13, the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts will host a free artist talk with this year’s selected “Delta Voices” artists and curators.

“Delta Voices” seeks to heighten the visibility of emerging artists from the region, reflect shifts in the cultural landscape and amplify creative voices at the forefront of contemporary art. The event brings together respected artists and leading curators to the reimagined museum for a lively discussion on art.

This year’s edition will feature curators from the Amon Carter Museum of American Art, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, the Philbrook Museum of Art and AMFA in conversation with artists from the Mid-South region. The featured artists are Anthony Sonnenberg, Keli Mashburn, Francisco Moreno (pictured above) and Zeke Peña.

In recent years, “Delta Voices” has evolved from the annual ongoing “Delta Exhibition” to a collaborative virtual series. It will continue to evolve into the new museum by becoming a triennial exhibit beginning in 2024 with annual programming for all.

Tickets to “Delta Voices” are free, although they are currently sold out. You can still be added to the waitlist by calling 501.372.4000 or by emailing connect@arkmfa.org. To learn more about the event, artists and curators, click here.
