A Foodie Destination
Escaping the city for a moment, we caught up with Oaklawn Executive Chef Ken Bredeson to get a glimpse of the culinary magic going on in the kitchens. The even better news? We only covered two of Oaklawn’s 15 eateries and bars, so you have plenty to explore after reading.
Behind the Scenes
“No photo can do this pool justice. You just have to see it in person,” says Josie Burnett, Soirée’s stylist and an editorial contributor. “The Esplanade District apartments really brought the outdoor amenity game up a notch. Just past the lens’ view is a large swim-up bar, hot tub, life-size chess board and a lobby that is straight out of a movie.”
Women of Impact
With the help of our annual Women to Watch special section, June has long been our most women-centric issue each year. And while we’re thrilled to continue that tradition this month, we’re also looking forward to another similar project: the Top 100 Women of Impact in Arkansas, a special publication we’re creating in collaboration with the Women’s Foundation of Arkansas and our parent company Arkansas Business Publishing Group, set to debut in September.
