Deck the Halls
There were so many merry details we couldn’t possibly fit in our holiday home decor feature, but we also couldn’t pass up this colorful little corner by Amy Terry of AC Designs.
“All of the different spaces and looks for Christmas in my home make me happy,” she says. “My four children have always loved when I go all out for Christmas. I change up my look on each tree and exterior every year in some way to keep it fresh and exciting.”
‘Tis the Season
December is undoubtedly a fun time of year, and that goes double for Little Rock Soirée readers. After you bask in the sparkle of this month’s Last Look feature, subscribe to our email newsletter so you don’t miss out on nonstop seasonal fun, including local New Year’s Eve events and our annual list of the year’s top stories.
Styled to Perfection
“In this month’s feature on the 20th Century Club, executive director Angie Taylor dons a modern, all-black dress by Eliza J,” stylist Josie Burnett says. “Of the different wardrobe options on set, this gown was her personal favorite because of its masculine-feminine feel with a satin lapel and tie belt at the waist, making it comfortable yet chic enough to wear to a gala. To complement the dresses, Angie is wearing a classic white gold diamond tennis necklace and hoop earrings from Sissy’s Log Cabin.”
Standout Quote
“I wish more people knew how motivated our clients are to work their way out of homelessness and what great things they are capable of if they get the right support.”
– Ben Goodwin, executive director of Our House
Winter Wonderland
The holidays on set always feel magical, but our cover shoot with ACH took things to the next level. Plans for this year’s Miracle Ball include a life-sized row of shop windows built by Nabholz Construction and dressed for the season, and that’s exactly where we captured event chairs Tiffany and Daniel Robinson.
“Shooting in a custom-made storefront just might be a Soirée first!” art director Emma Devine says. “We brought lots of winter wonderland magic in the form of fake snow, Tiffany made the window displays come to life with mannequins from Barbara/Jean decked out in Lourdes Chavez gowns and the wreaths and sparkly arrangements from the team at Tanarah Luxe Floral were the perfect additions to the scene.
“And when it finally came time to make it snow on set, Daniel was an eager volunteer. We even found out there is an Olaf in his family tree!”
