Standout Quote

“It’s important to me to find the joy in my life, and my joy cup is filled when I serve with nonprofits.”

– Tanya James, Dancing With Our Stars contestant for the Children’s Tumor Foundation

Getting Crafty

After visiting Argenta Bead Co. for this month’s story, Soirée stylist Josie Burnett was inspired to showcase this pair of earrings she’d made at the SoMa shop in our shoot for Potluck Food Rescue.

“The boot, gun, spoon and fork figures were the perfect tie-in for Yvette’s casual shoot at the peach orchard,” Burnett says. “They were so easy and fun to make, and you can mix and match or give them as gifts.”

Behind the Scenes

No one ever said farm life was easy, but we tested the limits for this month’s cover shoot. Just two days prior, Faulkner Lake Orchard suffered significant storm damage, but hustled back into shape and hauled off more than 15 truckloads of debris. The shoot brought its own challenges — namely the excessive heat warnings and advisories — but our subject, hosts and photo team handled it like pros. (A stop at Flo’s Kitchen in the orchard’s market certainly helped matters.)

Working Like a Dog

Long hair, short legs and a whole lot of love. Omobono, Dolly Barkin’ and Francesco are the official store greeters of Little Rock Violin Shop, so keep an eye out for these cuties when you visit.

Ladies Who Brunch

And yes, we’re still thinking about the eggs benedict from the Delicious Temptations shoot.
