At this year’s annual “town hall” meeting for JTS and its family of affiliated companies, founder and owner John Starling highlighted the company’s mission and values. He had done this before, but after recent growth, his audience was now larger, and he believed all new team members needed to understand the philosophy behind the company’s “intentionally different” customer service.
An attorney specializing in labor and employment law, Starling launched JTS in 1998 with a focus on providing solutions for the entire employee life cycle, from hire to retire, and removing the administrative burdens of employee benefits on employers. Going above and beyond the services competitors typically offer has been his approach from the beginning.
Now operating in nine states, the collective JTS companies have close to 200 employees. Starling takes pride in the fact that it’s now these employees leading the expansion, guided by a mission to be trusted client advisors, always looking for innovative ways to provide intentionally different service.
