If you’re wondering if college career fairs matter, THEY DO! I spent part of my senior year as a recruiting intern and went full-time as a campus recruiter, working my way to director of selection and now director of operations. I get to manage systems and processes, develop teammates, spearhead talent acquisition and plan all the fun events.

PRESSING QUESTIONS
The first thing I do to course-correct when I hit a wall
Revisit my vision statement. I write one every year, and it directs my decisions based on the faith, family, friends, fitness, finance and fun goals I want to achieve.
A skill I never expected to need in this field
Intuition. I had to learn to trust my instincts because not every situation has one “right” answer.
One practice I use to maintain my mental health
Talk it out! Find a mentor to vent to or ask for advice. Sometimes it’s a long phone call with my parents, sometimes it’s a quick talk with God.
Biggest challenges in my career
Being consistent. Every day requires the best version of yourself – full energy, attention to detail and focus. There is no room for an “off day” which can be daunting.
