Thursday, Oct. 24

Big Boo!seum Bash in downtown Little Rock: This area-wide favorite is back and it’s just as free and family-friendly as ever. Pack up the fam, put on your costume and check out a handful of the city’s coolest participating local museums and cultural attractions with games and trick-or-treating. Light the PATH at Next Level Events: This fundraiser is all about enjoying a night of food and fun for a great cause. Guests can get in on good eats and a silent auction while learning about and benefiting PATH, or Partners Against Trafficking Humans, in their work to eradicate the sex-trafficking industry in Arkansas. “A Democrat and a Republican Walk Into a Bar: Civil Liberties and Non-Partisanship” at Ron Robinson Theater: As part of a regular speaker series, the Central Arkansas Library System and Clinton School of Public Service are teaming up to bring ACLU President Susan Herman to Little Rock. Serving as president since 2008, something tells us she knows a thing or two about Democrats and Republicans walking into bars. Friday, Oct. 25

Arkansas Times Craft Beer Festival at Diamond Bear Brewing: Every witch needs a good brew. Head to Argenta to get your fill (and then some) from lots of regional and national craft breweries, and then wash it all down with food trucks and live music. Be there 6-9 p.m. For more info, click here.

Ovation at the Arkansas Repertory Theatre: Bravo! The Arkansas Repertory Theatre is celebrating a new era with a new event. The evening celebrates the theater’s supporters with dinner and a special performance by Tony Award-winner Victoria Clark. Festivities start at 6 p.m. For more info, click here.

Woman of Inspiration Dinner at the Statehouse Convention Center: More female power, please. Honoring Donna Malone as the 2019 Arkansas Woman of Inspiration, this event features fine dining, a silent auction and a Lourdes Chavez runway fashion show presented by Barbara/Jean. Tiny Hands Monster Bash at Next Level Events: Now in its 17th year, this annual amped-up costume party is — despite how its title may sound — for adults 21 and older. Guests can expect cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, music, dancing and silent auctions. Proceeds from the event go toward Family Home of Little Rock and the NICU at UAMS. Haunted Tours of Little Rock in the Quapaw Quarter: If you’ve ever wondered if one of these neighborhood homes is haunted, this is the tour for you. The bus tour promises an evening of spooky fun and local history. Some of the neighborhood’s most iconic sites are on the list, including the MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History, Curran Hall and, of course, Mount Holly Cemetery. Baptist Health Fall Farmers Market: Consider this the yin to your Halloween candy yang. Baptist Health is helping you make good choices this week by hosting pop-up BHealthy Farmers Markets around the metro. Along with local produce, you can also get in on cooking demonstrations, healthy lifestyle tips, contests and giveaways. Thursday’s market will be held at Baptist Health Medical Center in North Little Rock 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. and Friday’s will be at The Promenade at Chenal 4-7 p.m. For more info, click here.

Creep ‘N’ Crawl Run at Two Rivers Park: Let’s work off some of that Halloween candy, shall we? Gals and ghouls and freaks of all kinds are invited to this “wonderfully creepy” 5K/10K run where walkers are welcome — undead and otherwise. There’s even a quarter-mile Lil’ Monsters Dash for kids, as well as a custom finisher’s medal, a costume contest and more. Festival of Darkness: Nighty Night Release Party at Lost Forty Brewing: Bring on the undead. At this Nighty Night Imperial Stout release party, guests are encouraged to don their zombie gear and enjoy dark beer samples from local and regional breweries. Downtown on the Farm in the River Market: Downtown Little Rock is getting a dost of the farm life at this first-ever fest. The amphitheater will feature live music from Adam Hambrick, Bonnie Montgomery, The Going Jessies and Rodney Block, while the surrounding lawn and pavilions will be filled with vendors, food trucks, a beer garden, petting zoo, pumpkin patch and lots more. Halloween Masquerade Ball at the Castle on Stagecoach: Have you ever done Halloween in a castle? Here’s your chance. Your favorite princesses will be on hand to help your kiddos enjoy an English tea party, horse-drawn carriage rides, dancing, photos and even wands and tiaras to take home.
