An emphasis on some of the best moments of the new issue, fashion trends we’re obsessing over, the most contagious smile and more.

If our photo shoot with Tiffany O’Brien for the Children’s Protection Center feels like a visual vacation, consider our mission accomplished.
“The Old Mill is so iconic from the front, but what about the back?” art director Emma Devine says. “The worn texture of the stones, arched doorway and muted colors (not to mention the shade) was the perfect setting for our rustic, Tuscan-inspired vibe and offered a new perspective on a beloved central Arkansas landmark. And file under things I will be doing before the end of summer: heading over there to enjoy a picnic basket full of antipasto and a good book while pretending I’m in Europe!”

“Continuing our cutout, style guide-esque direction from spring, we welcomed fall with a bit more warmth and nostalgia,” stylist and editorial contributor Josie Burnett says of our 2026 fall fashion feature. “Two of my favorite trends this season? Thrifty mixes — think pattern play and vintage silhouettes — and a deep plum so dark you might mistake it for brown.
“Personally, as someone who is not normally a fan of rose gold jewelry, the estate pieces from Sissy’s this season completely changed my mind. They brought out a different glow and romance to the emerald set and brown coat. I’ve been changed!”

“It has to be something you really want to do — not for recognition, but because you want to help improve the lives of others, even people you will never meet.”
– Lottie Holt Shackelford, Women’s Foundation of Arkansas’ 2026 Woman of the Year in Public Service
