Being new to a city is hard. But finding fun in Little Rock? That’s easy.
That’s the goal of Land in the Rock, the new summer program from Create Little Rock, the young professionals branch of the Little Rock Regional Chamber. It was originally aimed interns, medical residents and law clerks who left their short stent in the city without any meaningful connections, lessening the chances of them coming back to find work here.
To combat this, Land in the Rock is open to all new hires and young professionals in the area, and consists of summer activities covering everything from happy hours to sporting events to movies and beyond.
“We have heard at the end of each summer series — we’ve gotten a lot of positive feedback from people who say they got tied in and made friends who they keep up with and it opened their eyes to what’s possible in greater Little Rock,” program chair Chris Hancock told Arkansas Business.
Land in the Rock kicks off on Thursday, June 2, on the top floor of the River Market Tower. For more details, check out this story from our sister publication, Arkansas Business.
