Festivities will be aplenty this weekend in North Little Rock with the special weekend-long event “Art in Argenta.”
The fun four-day event kicks off tonight (June 19) with the first of three outdoor performances of “The Two Gentlemen of Verona” by the Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre. All three performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. tonight, Saturday and Sunday at the Argenta Branch Library, 420 Main St.
The weekend festivities will also include an art walk, a show and sale, the farmers market, a silent auction and more.

Thursday (June 19)
“The Two Gentlemen of Verona”: The Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre brings you this outdoor play at the Argenta Branch Library, 420 Main St., North Little Rock. Thursday’s performance, in addition to other performances Saturday and Sunday are pay-what-you-can. Bring a chair and cooler for some outdoor theater. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.
Friday (June 20)
Argenta Artwalk: View artwork from local artists showcased in galleries, tents and the library on Main Street during the monthly artwalk. It runs from 5-8 p.m.
Arkansas Sculpture Invitational Show and Sale: Enjoy hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar at the 9th Annual Show and Sale. The show is free and correlates with the Argenta Artwalk. It will be open from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the Argenta Community Theater, 405 Main St.
Saturday (June 21)
Argenta Farmers Market: It’s not a Saturday in Argenta without the farmers market. Come get fresh produce and veggies and check out the crafts from 7 a.m.-noon at the farmers market, located at 520 Main St.
Arkansas Sculpture Invitational Show and Sale: The show and sale will reopen from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday.
Coup de Art: Also part of the show and sale, this event is from 2-4 p.m. at the Argenta Community Theater.

Sunday
Arkansas Sculpture Invitational Show: The show and sale opens for a third day from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday at the Argenta Community Theater.
Artists’ Silent Auction: Also a part of the show and sale, this silent auction is open from 12-4 p.m. Sunday.
“The Two Gentlemen of Verona”: The final outdoor showing from the Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre. The show begins at 7:30 p.m.
Cost
One of the advantages of “Art in Argenta” is most of the events are free to attend! The three showings of “The Two Gentlemen of Verona,” which is pay-what-you-can, is the only event with a price.
