To pay tribute to the philanthropy of Winthrop Rockefeller in his centennial year, the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute hosted several days of inspiring events, beginning with an opening reception of the Arkansas Arts Center exhibit, “The Rockefeller Influence,” comprised of works given by the Rockefeller family. The following evening, a dinner and entertainment by Arkansas artists was held on the lawn of the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute atop Petit Jean Mountain.
