At the Arkansas Foodbank, I oversee all aspects of the organization’s fundraising, marketing and communications. The Foodbank is the largest hunger relief organization in the state serving more than 280,000 Arkansans each year. I joined the Arkansas Foodbank in September of 2016, coming from the Boys & Girls Club of Central Arkansas where I served as director of development for three years. Prior to that, I spent five years in the for-profit technology sector in sales and marketing.

PRESSING QUESTIONS
I wish someone told me at the start of my career
It is never too late to make a change. If what you are doing doesn't bring you fulfillment and happiness, find something that does.
Best career moment so far
Completing a capital campaign to build a volunteer center at the Foodbank. We finished fundraising shortly before I delivered twins! Every time I look at that building I am so proud of what it will help the Foodbank accomplish.
The first thing I do to course-correct when I hit a wall
Take time to reflect. My brain moves a million miles a minute and I tend to make quick decisions. Sometimes I need to give myself a night before taking another stab at something that didn’t turn out how I’d planned.
What makes Little Rock feel like home
The sense of community. We take care of our neighbors, we are passionate about our schools and we all share a vision of wanting to make Little Rock a wonderful place to live and work.
What keeps me coming back to my job every day
The team of people I am so fortunate to work alongside every day. There is something truly unique about a group of people working together in the shared passion of serving others.
The one thing I wish people knew about my field
The dedication of staff at nonprofits. During COVID-19, the Foodbank has seen the need for our services skyrocket. We had to rethink our entire business model and our staff went into overdrive to ensure people received the food they need.
