In 2014 I founded The RSI Group after working two decades for several prominent investment banking firms on Wall Street. The RSI Group is a nationally ranked, certified, minority-and woman-owned independent municipal advisory firm. We specialize in working with state and local governments on bringing infrastructure projects to the municipal market. Some of our clients include North Texas Tollway Authority; cities of Chicago, Houston and Shreveport; Arkansas Baptist College; Morgan State University; Southern University System and Dillard University, among others.

PRESSING QUESTIONS
How I knew this was my passion
I love working with my clients to develop the best possible solution to fit their objectives. In every transaction, my goal is to reduce their financing costs and help identify potential risks in the market.
Biggest challenges in my career
Because RSI Group is a small firm, we are often asked if we can handle large transactions. My response is always “Check our references.” We have served as municipal advisor on numerous transactions across the country, totaling over $12 billion.
My first job and what it taught me
My first job was a financial analyst in the public finance department at Stephens, Inc. The job taught me to be very thorough and focused with each project. I learned the value of hard work and dedication.
Nonprofit I wish more people knew about
The Little Rock Chapter of the Links, Inc. We are a service organization of extraordinary women that contribute our time, talent and resources to enrich our community. The Little Rock Chapter contributes over 1,700 hours of community service annually.
What keeps me coming back to my job every day
Making a difference for our clients by giving them opportunities to secure the lowest cost of borrowing possible. The RSI Group was founded on the principle of integrity.
Best career moment so far
Branching off starting my own firm was a great feeling. However, I have never felt more proud than the moment when we closed on purchasing our building and seeing "RSI Group" in lights.
One practice I use to maintain my mental health
Daily meditation and reading the Bible. Every morning I find a quiet spot to read a passage to start my day.
Best advice I ever received
I give so much credit to my parents. The work ethic and southern values that have instilled in me guide my steps everyday. They told me to work hard, and not to let others define my success.
The one thing I wish people knew about my field
The financial services industry is so fulfilling. The work we do helps to create jobs and build infrastructures and roadways.
The first thing I do to course-correct when I hit a wall
Take a step back and re-trace my thoughts. Remember the purpose of the project and the anticipated lasting positive impact.
