After moving to Little Rock to work with Dillard’s, I moved to nonprofit work with the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce, American Heart Association and Baptist Health Foundation as the chief development officer. Our mission is to provide the resources to impact the health and well-being of Arkansas families and communities. In my role, I work with two outstanding boards, numerous staff and donors to raise money and recruit support for our cause — most notably through the Bolo Bash events. I absolutely love that we make a difference!

PRESSING QUESTIONS
Most rewarding part of my job:
I love seeing the foundation make a difference. Everything we do has a beneficiary in mind whether it is an individual or a group. My staff is honestly so amazing; it is rewarding to see the compliments they receive.
Best advice I ever received:
Stop expecting everyone to think and act like you do. Extreme wisdom from my husband.
Best career moment so far:
It just happened! I have been in customer service all of my career. Recently, I was asked to work as a player services representative at the U.S. Open this fall. Bolo Bash Tennis opened this door to a wonderful experience.
How I knew this was my passion:
I didn’t. I’ve had a lot of flexibility in my career but my mainstay has been my ability to manage. Good management skills allow you to work in any field because managing is about knowing how to work with people.
How I define success:
I define success by the success of the people that surround me. It is about hiring great people and watching them grow and thrive.
If I could lunch with any woman, it would be:
I wish I could have one more lunch with my recently deceased mother. I’ve thought of so many things I would love to say to her.
Favorite part of living in Little Rock:
Little Rock is easy to navigate. I’m pretty busy, so I love being able to get to my son’s school and tennis, work, groceries, etc. in a minimal amount of time. I also think it is a beautiful city.
I wish I knew how to:
Play tennis well with my son. About three years ago he asked me to stop hitting with him and just feed the balls because my game was making him play down.
