PRESSING QUESTIONS
How I knew this was my passion
Health is people’s most vulnerable asset. I help individuals and employers navigate difficult diagnoses, access care and manage costs, making a meaningful difference during challenging times.
What I learned from my first job
Who you work for and learn from shapes your career. Experiencing different cultures broadened my perspective, and working with family allows me to learn from people I admire and respect.
Best advice I ever received
Be a constant student. In insurance and life, there’s always more to learn. Curiosity builds knowledge, strengthens relationships and keeps you growing.
The first thing I do to course-correct when I hit a wall
Focus on what fills my cup. I perform best when grounded in my personal life, whether that’s spending time with family, being outdoors, riding horses or staying rooted in my faith.
What keeps me coming back to my job every day
Serving people in vulnerable health moments motivates me daily. I’m also driven to carry on my father’s legacy, delivering exceptional service in an industry where that standard isn’t always expected.
Nonprofit I wish more people knew about
Achieve Community Alliance
How I knew this was my passion
Health is our most valuable, vulnerable asset. I help people navigate difficult diagnoses and costs while supporting employers, advocating in challenging moments and making meaningful differences that fuel my passion.
Best career moment so far
Working on large clients with my brother Layne has been a career highlight. I don’t take for granted the rare opportunity to enjoy working daily with family I care about.
One practice I use to maintain my mental health
I start each morning with a workout and end my day at the barn riding horses. It’s my favorite way to decompress and reset after a stressful day at work.
The one thing I wish people knew about my field
There’s no magic way to lower medical costs. Insurance shifts costs between parties. Everyone expects top care at low cost, but health care’s complexity makes true win-win solutions difficult, despite good intentions.
