At 16, I decided to follow my parents’ and sister’s footsteps in becoming a pharmacist. I started at Cornerstone the summer before I entered pharmacy school in 2014. Over the last eight years, I have been an intern, staff pharmacist and, for the last two years, pharmacist in charge. Our mission is to provide exceptional patient care and premier customer service.

PRESSING QUESTIONS
How I knew this was my passion
Even after the challenges of 2020, I still come to work excited every day. Each day is different and presents new opportunities to serve my patients.
A skill I never expected to need in this field
The ability to find the joy in every day. Healthcare can be very heavy, and a positive mindset can be the difference between a task and a privilege.
One practice I use to maintain my mental health
Lots and lots and lots of prayer.
Best advice I ever received
The grass is greener where you water it.
The one thing I wish people knew about my field
Pharmacists play an integral role in ensuring the best possible health outcomes. With expert drug knowledge, we not only counsel patients, but also advise and collaborate with physicians and practitioners.
The first thing I do to course-correct when I hit a wall
Call my mom. This will be my first instinct as long as I'm lucky enough to do so. She is a woman of great integrity and I value her opinion.
Best career moment so far
When our small-staff, independent pharmacy administered over 20,000 COVID-19 vaccines to Arkansans. It is a privilege I hope to tell my grandchildren about one day.
Biggest challenges in my career
Striking that "perfect balance" between being a wife, mother and full-time pharmacist. I love my job, but I understand the most important role I have is at home.
