I came home from New York and opened RCDC to provide high level dance instruction to our community with an emphasis on experiencing the joy of dance. I love providing my students with the opportunities and training they need to continue dancing at the next level. I’m also thrilled to create jobs for artists and instructors right here at home!

PRESSING QUESTIONS
How I knew this was my passion
When performing professionally, I would help the other dancers rather than worrying about the steps myself. That's when I knew that I was passionate about education and encouraging others.
What keeps me coming back to my job every day
I've never known anything as rewarding as seeing a young person truly experience the joy of dance. A dance studio is a safe place of personal expression. I love it.
Best career moment so far
Every day is a great day but I'm particularly proud of my Team USA dancers who won gold at the IDO World Championships in Poland.
A skill I never expected to need in this field
Writing. We pride ourselves on clear and consistent communication with our clients. Emails, student handbooks, dance curriculum, etc. I had to become a much better writer than I was.
The one thing I wish people knew about my field
Dancers train just as hard as football players.
Best advice I ever received
Surround yourself with people who inspire you. Never stop learning. Celebrating your peers' success doesn't minimize your own.
Biggest challenges in my career
Managing the many different roles required of me as a business owner, an artistic director and a manager and making sure I'm good at all of them simultaneously.
The first thing I do to course-correct when I hit a wall
Gather my tribe and collaborate.
