PRESSING QUESTIONS
Biggest challenges in my career
Being the first female president in a male-dominated field, I have been the only woman in the room many times throughout my career.
Best career moment so far
Being named the first female Bank of America president in Arkansas was an incredible moment for me. I saw years of hard work pay off.
A skill I never expected to need in this field
Being nurturing, troubleshooting and mediating. These skills, that I continue to expand on as a parent, come in handy in the office.
My first job and what it taught me
While also enrolled in graduate school, my first job out of college was as a portfolio account manager. It taught me that investment banking wasn’t the right fit.
Nonprofit I wish more people knew about
I am the newly-elected vice chair at Economics Arkansas, whose mission is advocating for economics classes to be taught in school, which I am very passionate about.
What keeps me coming back to my job every day
I am all about relationships! I thrive in environments where I can think strategically and help partners reach their financial goals.
One practice I use to maintain my mental health
Prioritizing my calendar! Exercising and spending time with my kids keeps me balanced, so I block out my kids’ activities and workout classes as mandatory “meetings” that I cannot miss.
The one thing I wish people knew about my field
Banking is more than loans and checking accounts. It’s all about relationships! By getting to know our partners and their industry challenges, we can better serve them.
