I am a partner at Wright Lindsey Jennings, one of Arkansas’ oldest and largest full-service law firms. I started my career as a deputy prosecuting attorney with the Pulaski County Prosecutor’s Office. Since joining WLJ, I have built an active litigation practice and focus on defending medical providers in malpractice and professional liability claims. I also counsel a wide variety of local health care providers in the areas of general business and compliance, including HIPAA, Stark, Anti-Kickback and other regulatory issues.

PRESSING QUESTIONS
How I define success:
Success to me is a moving target. Some days are a win, some a loss. T.S. Eliot said it best: “Success is relative. It is what we can make of the mess we have made of things.”
Most rewarding part of my job:
The majority of my clients are defendants in litigation. That is never an enjoyable position. Working with them, empowering them to defend against strong criticisms and achieving good outcomes are the best rewards.
How I knew this was my passion:
I really didn’t. I sort of stumbled into litigation, but according to my dad, I have a knack for arguing, so I guess it’s a good fit.
Favorite part of living in Little Rock:
I grew up in Little Rock. I love how much it has changed and how so many things have remained the same. I really enjoy taking my kids to places I loved as a child.
I wish I knew how to:
Play golf. My grandmother was a wicked golfer. I would like to think I inherited her talent, and I’m looking forward to trying that one day.
If I could lunch with any woman, it would be:
Amelia Earhart. I’m dying to find out what happened to her.
Advice for my 18-year-old self:
Calm down. I’ve got a little control issue and I wish that I’d learned to relax a little earlier in life.
Best advice I ever received:
My husband always encourages me to communicate with people when I have a problem. As outspoken as I can be, sometimes I have a hard time advocating for myself. The outcome is always better after a good discussion.
