Practicing family medicine in an underserved community is one way I have fulfilled my calling to care for people. In addition to helping people stay healthier, I have always been interested in helping both men and women achieve and maintain lasting beauty. My longtime dream has been to open an aesthetic clinic, and last year I was able to achieve that dream by opening Chenal Valley Medical Aesthetics. Now I am able to balance my time between primary care as well as providing the latest in technology in aesthetic medicine.

PRESSING QUESTIONS
WHAT IS A TYPICAL WORKDAY LIKE?
I drive the hundred miles every day to and from Malvern, where my practice focuses mainly on women and children. My afternoons are back in West Little Rock where I provide a wide variety of advanced aesthetic care.
MOST REWARDING PART OF YOUR JOB:
It is a wonderful feeling to know that I am able to help people live a healthier, happier life, but also extremely rewarding to also be able to help my patients enhance their outward beauty.
HOW YOU DEFINE SUCCESS:
Reaching a point in one’s life where you feel centered and at peace with yourself and the universe and are truly grateful for each day God gives you.
WHO IS YOUR ROLE MODEL?
My mother died of heart disease when I was 10. Despite being on so much medicine that even standing made her dizzy, she carted me and my sister all over Manhattan, but also finished her training as an anesthesiologist.
HOW DID YOU KNOW THIS IS WHAT YOU WANTED TO DO?
My education started as a literature major, but science has always been my passion. Maybe my choice was genetic as my maternal grandfather, my mother, an uncle, my father and my sister are all physicians.
BEST ADVICE YOU'VE EVER RECEIVED:
Learn from the past but don’t live there.
IF YOU COULD LUNCH WITH ANY WOMAN, WHO WOULD IT BE AND WHAT WOULD YOU ORDER?
I would love to have lunch with Coco Chanel and introduce her to the wonderful world of authentic New York pizza by the slice.
ADVICE YOU WOULD GIVE YOUR 18-YEAR-OLD SELF:
Don’t worry so much about the future. It will take care of itself. Have faith.
