WOMEN TO WATCH

Erin Parker

Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer
Arkansas Children’s

I began at Arkansas Children’s as a volunteer and quickly fell in love with the mission. With a background in accounting and compliance, I found my passion at the intersection of technology and health care. Now, as Chief Information Officer, I advance digital strategies that support care teams, enhance patient experiences and help fulfill the mission that inspired me.

PRESSING QUESTIONS

Best advice I ever received

“Stay curious” was the best advice I ever received. Curiosity has opened doors, clarified understanding, built relationships and fueled every stage of my career.

The one thing I wish people knew about my field

Technology in health care is not just about the hardware and software, it’s about the people. Every solution we deploy is ultimately to support care delivery and connection.

What I learned from my first job

I learned that every role, no matter how small, contributes to something bigger. If you show up with curiosity, strong work ethic and a willingness to learn, doors will open.

The first thing I do to course-correct when I hit a wall

Step away. Clarity often comes for me when I pause and step away.
