I joined Simmons Bank in early 2014. Since then we’ve grown from $4.3 billion in assets to an over $23-billion-asset organization across six states. My team holds responsibility for all brand-building efforts including our signature sponsorships like Simmons Bank Arena and our Team Simmons Bank golfers. We also manage communications, product development and campaigns. Recently we started a customer feedback program to highlight opportunities to better meet our customers’ needs. We know perception of our brand is largely driven by customer experience and we want to be the best at it.

PRESSING QUESTIONS
Best career moment so far
It would be hard to top seeing our Team Simmons Bank golfer Will Zalatoris contend for the win at this year's Masters. Seeing our brand on global TV was just awesome. I'm lucky George Makris has great brand vision.
A skill I never expected to need in this field
I think most people don't start their career thinking about people management. As you become a leader in your organization, your ability to attract and retain talented, high-performing team members will be just as important as your subject matter expertise.
How I knew this was my passion
I majored in investments, but my timing was off. I graduated during the stock market crash of 2008. So we pivot! I loved marketing classes at the University of Arkansas and turned that minor into a major, and here we are.
My first job and what it taught me
I was an associate producer at Saatchi & Saatchi X working on Procter and Gamble business at Sam's Club. I will never forget being so quiet in meetings and my manager, Christina, telling me to have confidence and speak up!
Nonprofit I wish more people knew about
Everyone should keep an eye out for the Pins for Preemies event this summer sponsored by the Baptist Health Associate Board. Proceeds support the critical equipment needs for the NICU, the babies being treated and their families.
What keeps me coming back to my job every day
I'm loyal to Simmons because of the people, especially my team -- Claire, Eunice, Lindsey, Mary, Sarah and Stacey. It's a crew of women to watch and you wouldn't see me here if it weren't for them.
Biggest challenges in my career
My biggest challenge isn't necessarily in my career. It's in finding balance which can be a never-ending juggling act at times, but I am lucky to have a family that supports my career and a career that supports my family.
One practice I use to maintain my mental health
Don't get the impression I've figured this out. Juggling career, parenthood, friendships, family and self-care seems impossible on most days. Find an outlet -- friend, therapist, workout -- and never underestimate a good vent session and a glass of wine.
Best advice I ever received
My dad has always stressed the importance of hard work -- work hard and the rest will work out. There are a lot of things you won't be able to control along the way, but you can control your effort.
