Crews & Associates is a full-service investment banking firm, with a primary focus on fixed-income investments. What began with seven associates in 1979 with a single phone and a coffee pot, has grown to be a leader in the fixed-income industry. I’ve worked at Crews for eight years, with the majority of that time on the municipal trading desk. I assist both the head municipal trader as well as our company’s president, and I also trade with other brokers and assist individual clients with their portfolio management issues.

WHAT IS A TYPICAL WORKDAY LIKE?

There’s no such thing as typical! A day for me involves everything from helping our head trader find Arkansas bonds to bid, to buying bonds from other brokers across the country, and helping customers with various account questions. Never know what’s coming next!

BEST CAREER MOMENT SO FAR:

Representing Crews in the 2015 Class of the Cystic Fibrosis Taste of the Finest, and receiving the Todd Miles Award for fundraising.

HOW DID YOU KNOW THIS IS WHAT YOU WANTED TO DO?

I knew the minute I walked into Crews that it was where I belong. The atmosphere was electric, and the people were the perfect mix of work and fun.

HOW YOU DEFINE SUCCESS:

Being confident in what you bring to the table and then seeing the fruits of your time and hard work put into an endeavor.

BEST ADVICE YOU’VE EVER RECEIVED:

Do what’s right because it’s the right thing to do.

FAVORITE PART OF LIVING IN LITTLE ROCK:

The close proximity to so much! Living downtown, I can walk from my house to multiple restaurants, shops, the dog park, and even to work (although doing that in heels is not advised)!

IF YOU COULD LUNCH WITH ANY WOMAN, WHO WOULD IT BE AND WHAT WOULD YOU ORDER?

My Mom. She passed away when I was 19, so we have a lot of catching up to do! We’d go to Faded Rose and get the prime rib and loaded baked potatoes, as it was one of her favorites!

WHO IS YOUR ROLE MODEL?

My dad, because he has always done life the way it should be: taking great pleasure in the simple joys and always putting others before himself. Always working hard and always taking care of his people!
