I started selling real estate to put myself through college in 2002 and continued following my passion of helping others. Like a good Southern girl, I was married before I could drink at my own wedding at age 20. After finding myself single for the first time in 2015, there was a need to surround myself with stronger female relationships. So I started the Little Rock PowerWomen and PowerMoms platforms, launched the “PowerWomen” podcast and published my book “Ring or Fling” in June 2020.

PRESSING QUESTIONS
How I knew this was my passion
When I financially needed a sale and still found myself advising clients against buying or selling. My goal was serving others and fulfilling my purpose instead of adding to my bank account.
Biggest challenges in my career
Starting at a young age (21), gaining trust with an investment as large as real estate could be a challenge. I looked forward to crows feet and gray hair! With high productivity, I've overcome biases of age and gender.
I wish someone told me at the start of my career
It took years to learn business modeling, systems and procedures that are specific to my industry and business. And no one told me I'd work a lot without ever being paid.
Nonprofit I wish more people knew about
Women & Children First.
What keeps me coming back to my job every day
The opportunity to be an advocate for others by using my experience and skill set is present on a daily basis and makes me excited.
Best career moment so far
In the middle of a transaction, a client unexpectedly had to have his leg amputated. With no family in the area, this was physically preventing their move into the new home. I hired movers and personally moved them.
A skill I never expected to need in this field
Real estate is less sales and more an art of asking powerful, poignant questions. In doing so, I'm able to help provide clarity and expectations during one of life's largest investments and most stressful moments.
