I am a board-certified Medical Skincare Specialist and licensed national aesthetician. I have continued my education in Montreal, Vancouver, New York and California. I take care of a wide variety of patients in an environment that is non-surgical and beautifying for the body, face and mind. I’m fortunate to work with a highly trained staff who are on the cutting edge of the newest and greatest treatments, and we continue to be “The First” to bring the knowledge home.
PRESSING QUESTIONS
Best career moment so far:
Accepting the gavel as president of the Society of Plastic Surgical Skin Care Specialists in San Diego, 2017. I have been the program chair for the international meeting. I’ve worked all year to present an educational and interesting meeting for peers.
What advice would you give your 18 year old self?
VOTE!!! But first listen and learn before you do. Learn about your politicians and pay attention to world affairs — they can impact you later in life. Don’t follow the crowd. Be a leader in whatever you choose to do.
Most rewarding part of your job:
Making people look better and feel even better about themselves and enhancing patients’ aesthetic beauty, be it by eliminating targeted fat on the body, beautifying the skin or correcting pigmentation and rosacea issues. I have all the tools.
Biggest challenges or obstacles you’ve faced in your career:
Going to aesthetician school after working for Chanel cosmetics. I wound up teaching the course. I wanted to learn more, so with continued education with NCEA to receive my national certification, I’m able to work with plastic surgeons and derms.
Who is your role model?
The amazing 22 past presidents of SPSSCS. These women are truly pioneers in the medical skin care industry.
Best advice you’ve ever received:
“NEVER STOP LEARNING” from my mother. She was well educated, well traveled and always up for a new adventure. She was so cute maneuvering the internet for the first time. Be the best and enjoy life.
Favorite part of living in Little Rock?
Ah, my many varied groups of friends and family. My house tends to be the gathering place. I love the seasons in Arkansas — we have beautiful lakes, mountains, caves and countryside. We can easily get away to travel.
I wish I knew how to__________.
Write a cookbook. I use to have cooking class with Dad. He would find a new cookbook, dog ear everything he wanted to learn, and I would shop and prepare as he read the recipe. Nice memories.
