WOMEN TO WATCH

Brandy Harp

Principal Broker
Jon Underhill Real Estate

In looking back on my life — from gaining invaluable work skills at Alltel to marrying a custom home builder and investing in real estate 18 years ago as our retirement plan — all of these aspects have equipped me with the skills necessary to successfully lead a company and provide an unmatched level of customer service to my clients. I serve as the principal broker of Jon Underhill Real Estate, and it is my goal to carry on the company vision entrusted to me. We are not only helping our clients buy or sell residential real estate, but we are helping customers achieve the dream of owning their own home.

PRESSING QUESTIONS

Most rewarding part of my job:

Being able to help people with one of the most important financial and emotional investments of their lives. Because of the experiences that I have received from people pouring into my life, I love working in an industry where I can give back to other people.

I wish I knew how to:

Sew! I’m 5’10” and it can be challenging to find the perfect clothes for my height.

Best career moment so far:

Being entrusted by Jon Underhill to lead and manage as the principal broker of Jon Underhill Real Estate.

How I define success:

Throughout my life, I evaluate if I am making a positive difference. Success is often defined by a monetary value, but for me, if I have brought joy and happiness to those around me, and can work through challenges to find a positive result, I have been successful.

If I could lunch with any woman, it would be:

It would not be one woman, it would be a group my best friends — women who I love, adore and look up to. I have a “Ya-Ya Sisterhood” with a diverse group of women from all different backgrounds and walks of life.

Advice for my 18-year-old self:

To learn, grow and make the most of every single opportunity you are given.

My typical workday:

Each day is different and very fast-paced as I work to balance my responsibilities as a wife, mom and professional business leader. Although my workday varies, I try to consistently give my best every single day.

How I knew this was my passion:

I look back and can see how every opportunity shaped and molded me to prepare for my career in real estate. From marrying a builder, working for Alltel and learning customer service, marketing, advertising and maintaining a high level of integrity in the workplace, to purchasing, selling, and building more than 50 personal homes and being called to servant leadership.
