In 2014, Dr. Marilynn Baeyens, Dr. Katie Baeyens and I started the Baeyens Hauk Veterinary Group in Sherwood. Our goal is to provide excellent veterinary care for pets in central Arkansas. We offer preventative care and treatment of illness to dogs and cats, as well as exotic animals.The Argenta location was opened in 2018, and this clinic’s focus is wellness care and canine rehabilitation therapy.

How I knew this was my passion
Some of my fondest childhood memories are those of rescuing abandoned animals on my father’s farm. Helping these animals sparked a strong desire to become a veterinarian.
The one thing I wish people knew about my field
Please be kind and patient to your veterinarian and veterinary staff. We care so much for your pets and want the best for them. Their illnesses keep us awake at night too.
Biggest challenges in my career
The biggest challenge of my career is being present for my family after coming home from a hard day of sick animals.
My first job and what it taught me
Veterinarian in Sherwood. How wonderful the people of Sherwood and NLR are; they love pets. Not only did I find my perfect place to practice veterinary medicine, I also found a home and community.
Best career moment so far
My best career moment was starting and growing the Baeyens Hauk Veterinary Group with Dr. Marilynn Baeyens and Dr. Katie Baeyens. We have grown to five veterinarians and two locations.
Best advice I ever received
My parents and grandparents all stressed the importance of education. Education is something that can never be taken away.
What keeps me coming back to my job every day
There is no greater thrill for me than helping a sick animal feel better and easing a worried owner’s mind.
