In our financial advisor practice, every strategy we offer and every solution we recommend is based on what’s most important to our clients. We work confidentially with their CPA, attorney and other professionals so we can help determine the most appropriate financial strategy for them and their family. It’s through these lifelong partnerships that we know we are making a difference in our clients’ lives.
PRESSING QUESTIONS
What keeps me coming back to my job every day:
Sitting down with my clients for a cup of coffee or tea and knowing we have successfully planned for today, tomorrow and the future of their family.
Best career moment so far:
Being able to tell my client that, through our partnership and their hard work, he and his wife could retire early and live their dream of traveling to several countries a year.
The one thing I wish people knew about my field:
It's not all rainbows and sunshine. We work hard for our clients every day not only for returns, but in helping them manage their emotions through difficult times and stay on track toward their goals.
Best advice I've ever received:
Put some hay in the barn for yourself. Live to the standards you expect your clients to live to. And don't be afraid to learn more today than you knew yesterday.
If I could lunch with any woman, it would be:
Having founded Women Influencers, my dream lunch is with any successful, driven woman who is looking to grow her success by connecting with strategic relationships and learning how to connect others. Building community through deeper relationships is my passion.
How I knew this was my passion:
I was the first call from the wife of a client after he passed. I was able to tell her that her husband and I had everything in place and that she didn't need to worry about a thing.
Biggest challenges in my career:
Seeing clients make detrimental emotional decisions during market volatility. I work with each client to try to plan ahead for these situations so they are mentally prepared and know their portfolio is ready to handle it.
A nonprofit I wish more people knew about:
Arkansas Women in Agriculture. With the amount of farmland transferring hands over the next few decades to widows, the need for education to teach them how to effectively run the business is critical.
