I’ve spent the majority of my career in advertising and public relations, focusing primarily on health care. In late 2019, I was thrilled to join Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield, where I work with an incredible team focused on branding, marketing and public relations, communications and content development, as well as member engagement and digital and customer experience.

How I knew this was my passion
I've always loved the art of storytelling and that is what marketing is: telling a company's story in a way that helps educated its customers and the public.
The one thing I wish people knew about my field
Often people think marketing throws parties and develops fun campaigns. While we do all of that, we also help set strategy, develop messaging and use technology to communicate with stakeholders.
Best advice I ever received
Value the people in your life, and find joy in everything you do, work hard and invest in your 401(k).
Best career moment so far
During COVID-19, Arkansas Blue Cross launched "Vaccinate the Natural State," to educate Arkansans about the vaccine. Knowing I played a role in helping during the pandemic was extremely rewarding.
