I have always been in the restaurant industry to some degree, which bloomed a passion for food, wine and spirits. An opportunity presented itself to go out on my own, so with the help of my family we decided to start De Nux Distributors. De Nux is a wholesale liquor company that distributes to liquor stores and restaurants in the state of Arkansas. We are currently in our second year of business.

How did you know this is what you wanted to do?

I do not believe I ever consciously thought, “This is what I want to do.” But I always knew that I would enjoy something that involved hospitality and good taste.

Best advice you’ve ever received?

Got to have and keep a good name, that’s business 101.

Favorite part of living in Little Rock?

Little Rock is a small city with a big heart. It’s a community of caring and hardworking individuals that I’m lucky enough to call my best friends. Couple that with being near my family makes Little Rock the perfect place.

Who is your role model?

My mother, Patricia Green. She is incredibly intelligent, and takes such good care of herself and her family. I am just trying to keep up with her!

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

Hand-selecting and believing in every product that I sell.

What advice would you give your 18-year-old self?

Listen to mom when she says “doucement!” My 18-year-old self translated it to “do some more,” but it actually means “slow down.”

If you could have lunch with any woman, who would it be and what would you order?

Lauriane Elichiry, who was a beautiful, young and successful journalist in France. She passed unexpectedly, and I never had the opportunity to meet her. We would have totally shared a bottle of rosé together.

Best moment of your career so far?

The moment I received my wholesale permit and actually had it in my hands.
