Wish List 2012: Women’s Foundation of Arkansas (Soirée Special Promotion)

Women’s Foundation of Arkansas
200 River Market Ave., Suite 100 • Little Rock, AR 72201

The mission of the Women’s Foundation of Arkansas is to promote philanthropy among women and to help women and girls achieve their full potential. Since its inception, the foundation has focused its efforts on increasing the economic security of Arkansas’ women through strategic grant-making and its Girls of Promise™ conferences.

The Women’s Foundation of Arkansas is the only statewide foundation with the sole focus of developing the professional, economic and philanthropic potential of the state’s women and girls. WFA believes when women are educated and economically secure, their families also benefit and are better educated, better nourished and in better health. These benefits extend well beyond their families to include entire communities.

Research shows that if we focus on educating women, we build the foundation for a stronger Arkansas. Support Women. Strengthen Arkansas.

How We Are Funded

Contributions from individuals, corporations and foundations fund WFA’s grants, Girls of Promise™ conferences and foundation operations. Gifts may also be directed toward WFA’s endowments: grant-making, Joan R. Campbell Girls of Promise and/or Operations. Those who care about Arkansas can have broader, lasting impact if they give together through WFA. We invest your gifts wisely to make Arkansas a better place, not only for women but for all Arkansans.

Biggest Fundraiser

Power of the Purse, WFA’s annual luncheon, will be held in Little Rock and Rogers. The Oct. 5 Rogers event honors Judy McReynolds for her business acumen and the Oct. 26 Little Rock event honors Johnelle Hunt for her philanthropy. Grant awards are also announced at the luncheon.
