Wolfe Street Foundation, Inc. provides facilities for support groups faithful to the original 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous and develops and implements programs aimed toward education and prevention for those in recovery from addictions. We provide a facility and a meeting place, not only to the one who suffers from an addiction but the family members that live or have lived with the disease of alcoholism. Our center has AA, Alanon and Alateen meetings every day starting at 6:45 a.m. and on some evenings until 11 p.m. As a result of this priceless gift of sobriety, which is totally free to anyone who attends our facility, we have witnessed lives saved, families reunited and our community enhanced.
How We Are Funded
Our center is self-supporting and we rely solely on the generosity of individuals, families, members of the foundation and the support of our business community. We have three annual fundraisers: Night at the Rep, Golf Scramble and Oscar Night® America. This year we have the privilege of presenting to the community an off-Broadway play, “Pass It On,” presented at the Argenta Community Theater, with the proceeds helping to fund our operational budget.
Biggest Fundraiser
Arkansas’ Oscar Night® America 2013, the only sanctioned watch party sponsored by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences® in the state, affords Arkansans a night to don their finest, walk the red carpet, be interviewed and photographed as if in Hollywood and watch the live telecast via satellite with our partner, KATV®, an ABC affiliate station. Guests receive the actual program given to stars attending the event in Hollywood.
