The mission of Arkansas Hospice is to enhance the quality of life for those facing terminal illness and grief by surrounding them with love and embracing them with the best in physical, emotional and spiritual care. Arkansas Hospice exists to neither hasten death nor prolong life, but to enhance the quality of life for as long as life lasts.
At the heart of our philosophy is respect for the decisions of each individual patient and their family members. We provide care at home, in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospitals or our inpatient hospice centers. We emphasize comfort care rather than curative treatment and most importantly as a charitable, nonprofit organization, Arkansas Hospice will continue to provide the same high-quality care to all in need, regardless of ability to pay. To put it simply: Arkansas Hospice is about living every moment completely.
How We Are Funded
Arkansas Hospice services are covered by Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, private pay or charitable donations. This care is available to everyone, regardless of age, sex, race, marital status, sexual preference, religion, citizenship status, veteran status, illness, disability or ability to pay. Charitable donations are critical to Arkansas Hospice’s patient care because they support community bereavement services, volunteer training, clinical staff development, community education and other compassionate care-centered services.
Biggest Fundraiser
This year’s A Fair to Remember on Oct. 4 reflects the sights and sounds of an old-fashioned state fair. It is a night filled with fun, friends, food, games and auctions, with proceeds benefiting Arkansas Hospice’s mission. More details can be found at AFairToRemember.org.
