Wildwood Park to Celebrate the Life and Artwork of Amy Edgington

We could all use a little more art in our lives. Wildwood Park for the Arts is making that easy for you by featuring two events this month celebrating the life of artist Amy Edgington.

In Memory of Amy Edgington: Collage Art by Arkansas Artists
Beginning on Nov. 11 through Dec. 16, Wildwood will host an exhibit honoring the life and artwork Edgington. This exhibit will feature collage art by six Arkansas artists, as well as original works by Amy. The artists will include Michael Church, Jerry Colburn, Becky Botos, Jessica Crenshaw, Erin Lorenzen, Laura Fanning and Byron Werner.

An opening reception will be sponsored by Whole Foods Market on Nov. 17 from 6-8 p.m. The reception is free and open to the public.

Community Conservation with an Artist and Collage Art Party Workshop
On Sunday, Nov. 20, join the park staff for a Community Conversation with an Artist with Lynn Frost, photographer and Edgington’s longtime partner, and collage artists Michael Church, Becky Botos and others. Following the community conversation, several of the exhibiting artists will facilitate a collage art party workshop, during which students will learn collage composition techniques using Edgington’s materials. The Community Conversation with an Artist will take place between 1-1:30 p.m., followed by the workshop until 4 p.m. The workshop is $25 and registration is required.
