Where to Have Father’s Day Fun in Little Rock

Father’s Day is upon us, everyone. No matter who you’re celebrating on Sunday, you might as well pair your plans with a big dose of fun instead of just handing him a new tie and a gift card to Chili’s and calling it done. There are plenty of ways to have a blast with Dad this weekend, and our sister publication Little Rock Family has put together an extensive list of the best to-dos. Here are a few of our favorites.

 

Sunset Lake Cruise at Jolly Roger’s Marina: On Father’s Day, experience the vibrant colors of the setting sun while cruising over the calm waters of Lake Maumelle near the base of Pinnacle Mountain. Arkansas Travelers Celebrate Fathers & Military at Dickey Stephens Park: Take your dad to the ballpark to see the Travs take on the NWA Naturals! Activities include father-and-son catch on the field and special recognition for military. 6:10 p.m. June 21. $4-$12 in advance; add $1 per ticket on game day. Free Round of Mini Golf for Father’s Day at Big Rock Mini Golf & Fun Park: In honor of Father’s Day, dads accompanied by children receive a free round of mini golf! Noon-9 p.m. June 21. For info, click here or call (501) 455-3750.

 

18th Annual Youth Fishing Derby & Family Fun Day Event at Dupree Park Lake: Lots of hungry fish are biting at the annual youth fishing in Jacksonville. Fishing enthusiasts, ages 15 and under, are invited to join in the morning of fun and fishing. After the Fishing Derby stay for a family event at the park with food and fun; admission is free. Dads and Dinos at Clinton Presidential Center: To celebrate Father’s Day (or maybe the debut of “Jurassic World”), the Center is offering free activities for dads and kids throughout Fathers’ Day weekend. Activities are free; however, admission fees to tour the Clinton Center apply. 9 a.m.-5 p.m. June 20-21. For info, click here.

 

Range Day at Central Arkansas Nature Center: Test your archery or BB gun skills with targets and instruction provided. Kids elementary age and older can practice target shooting or shoot for the first time. Either the archery or BB gun range will be set up for target shooting. Noon-2 p.m. June 20.
