Brunch — it’s our favorite meal of the week. Check out our staff recommendations from Soirée and a few of our sister publications.

“Good things come in small packages, and Leo’s Greek Castle is no exception. Their breakfast menu is a Hillcrest staple. The best thing has to be the gyro meat omelet, but don’t forget to add feta and a 75-cent PBR!”
Leo’s serves brunch Saturday 7 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sunday 8 a.m.-3 p.m.
Olivia Farrell, CEO, ABPG
“I love Bossa Nova. When I’m trying to be healthy I get the vegetable frittata which is great but what I really want is Panquecas de Maçã — Apple filled crepes, two eggs (any style, except poached), choice of fruit salad or mista salad, served with toast; Rabanada — Brazilian French toast, two eggs, (any style eggs except poached) and syrup or their Bolinho de Chuva — Brazilian beignets, (with powdered sugar) served with fruit salad.”
Cafe Bossa Nova serves brunch Saturday and Sunday 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m.

“US Pizza (either Hillcrest or Heights). Anywhere that serves pizza for breakfast (gluten free to boot!) wins in my book. Add to that the patio, frittatas and half-priced mimosa buckets and you’ve got a winning formula.”
US Pizza serves brunch Saturday and Sunday starting at 10 a.m.

“Loca Luna. When you can choose between the ultimate burrito with scrambled egg, blended cheeses, bacon and sour cream, homemade biscuits, huevos rancheros or pizza for breakfast, plus a mimosa, where else could you possibly want to go?”
Loca Luna serves brunch Saturday 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

“The lobster and crab cake Benedict at Red Door is fantastic, and the french toast croissants are excellent!”
Red Door serves brunch Saturday 9 a.m.-2 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

“Boulevard and Heights Taco & Tamale are our go-to brunch spots. The buttermilk pancakes at Boulevard are amazing and their eggs Benedict with Petit Jean ham is spot-on. The Chilaquiles at HTT comes with grilled chicken, tortilla strips, green chiles, fried onions and an egg. You’ll dream of it after you try it!”
Boulevard serves brunch Sunday 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Heights Taco & Tamale serves brunch Sunday 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

“The Fold is known for its unique selection of cantina tacos, but they really upped their game with the awesome selection of breakfast tacos. Pair any of the breakfast tacos with a watermelon margarita and you’ll definitely think you’re having brunch at a five-star resort.”
The Fold serves brunch Saturday and Sunday 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
