What to Expect at the Lafayette 148 New York Fashion Show

On Wednesday, Oct. 19, Feinstein’s and the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Auxiliary are teaming up to put on a Lafayette 148 New York fashion show at the Clinton Presidential Center. So before the big and fabulous day, we caught up with Bobbi McDaniel, Auxiliary board member and past president, to find out more.

What drew you to the ACH Auxiliary?

I became involved with the Auxiliary initially because the hospital was so very close to my heart. My son was sent to ACH from Jonesboro when he was 4 weeks old and he had surgery at the young age of 8 weeks. He has been seen in various clinics through the years, as has my daughter. She has severe nut allergies. The specialized care of the hospital and the clinics has always been remarkable. I have found the Auxiliary to be a wonderfully diverse group of ladies who work for a common cause while sharing unique talents to benefit the children of Arkansas.

What has been the most powerful or rewarding moment since you joined?

I find myself so very humbled every year when we are able to present our donation check to the hospital in May. This is the moment when every project can shine and when every member can feel their efforts, no matter how big or small, have come together to make a difference in children’s lives.

How did the Lafayette 148 fashion show with Feinstein’s come together?

The Auxiliary feels extremely fortunate that Jill Ricciardone of Feinstein’s thought of us. She had the concept of bringing New York style to Little Rock in a glamorous manner. And to top it off, she wanted to pour the proceeds back into her community.

What can guests expect at the event?

Guests can expect a top notch New York style fashion show featuring the Lafayette 148 resort line.  There will be a raffle and a live auction item that will wow and amaze. Then, top the lunch hour off with lite bites, champagne and a pop-up shop for shopping after the show. We call it “lite bites and big city style.”

Do you have any favorite Lafayette 148 pieces?

Lafayette’s styling is so classic and chic. The basic black pant is always a favorite! However, I am also a fan of Lafayette dresses. The ease of picking a dress out of your closet and adding a pair shoes to be ready to walk out the door is a must!

Doors open at 11 a.m. and the show begins at noon. Click here to reserve your tickets online or pick them up in person at Feinstein’s. For more information, check out the Facebook event page.
