Celebrate all things fall and community at Hillcrest HarvestFest 2024, which is returning to Kavanaugh Boulevard this Saturday, Oct. 12, to mark 30 years of bringing together food, fun, music and entertainment for everyone in central Arkansas.
More than 125 local vendors will be on site alongside 12 food trucks, Arkansas craft beer and wine selections, a full day of live music, a dog show, a pie contest, entertainment for the kids and more.
Event organizers invite attendees to “indulge in an incredible array of flavors” with this year’s broad food truck selection, “whether you’re in the mood for savory barbecue, sweet treats or something unique.” Haygood BBQ, Slader’s Alaskan Dumplings, Loblolly Creamery, Mawmaw’s, Tacos Godoy, Wright’s BBQ and more will be in attendance, so come hungry in your stretchy clothes.
Beverages from Lost Forty, Flyway, Stone’s Throw and Origami Sake will be served at kiosks throughout the festival and in the beer garden located outside Hillcrest Liquor, making for a whole day of strollin’ and sippin’.
The annual dog show is a must-see for all dog lovers from 3-5 p.m. Up to 75 dogs will walk the red carpet with adoring fans cheering them on. Proceeds from this year’s show will go toward the North Little Rock Animal Shelter, helping to support their dedicated efforts in caring for and improving the lives of animals in our community.
“We love how this event brings together both pets and their humans in such a joyful way,” says Ross Burnett, co-chair of the HarvestFest committee.
Also back by popular demand is the pie contest featuring professional and amateur bakers, plus lawn games like baggo and a kids area for the family.
