Weekend To-Do List: 8 Events to Check Out

The weekend is almost here and we’ve got some events you should keep an eye out for! There is shopping to do, art to view and plays to watch!

Thursday (June 26)

Summer of Solutions Happy Hour at Green Corner Store, 1423 Main St., Little Rock: If you like beer and ice cream, and want to learn ways you can help out the youth this summer, come to the Green Corner Store from 6-8 p.m. to hear from Loblolly Creamery and its Summer of Solutions ideas. Friday (June 27)

Feed Your Mind Friday at Arkansas Arts Center, 501 E. 9th St., Little Rock: Ahead of her exhibition opening at the Arkansas Arts Center, Susan Paulsen will lead visitors through her exhibition, “Susan Paulsen: Wilmot,” on Friday afternoon. The tour is set from noon to 1 p.m. To sign up for the free tour, go to the Stephens Inc. Vistors Center. Paulsen’s exhibition opens Saturday at the center and will remain open through Sept. 28. Community Night at The Little Gym, 1121 S. Bowman Road, Suite C-1, Little Rock: The Little Gym is offering free, supervised fun for the kids while parents take part in a workshop. Space is limited, so RSVP by calling 868-3500 or emailing Info@ChiropracticLR.com. Workshop and play times are 45 minutes long and begin hourly between 3-6 p.m. For more information, click here.

Saturday (June 28)

Bar Louie Four-Year Anniversary Party: Studio 54, 11525 Cantrell Road, Suite 924, Little Rock: It’s time to celebrate four years with Bar Louie! Drink specials will include $5 screwdrivers, $5 mind erasers, $5 liquid cocaines and $3 Jell-O coke shots. Food specials have not been announced yet. The Compleat Wrks of Wllm Shkspr (Abridged) at The Rep, 601 Main St., Little Rock: This is the last weekend to see “The Comleat Wrks of Wllm Shkspr (Abridged)” at The Rep. The play brings the best works of William Shakespeare with a heavy dose of satire, which includes a 43-second version of “Hamlet.” Shows are set for 7 p.m. Thursday, 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. & 7 p.m. Sunday. Friday-Sunday (June 27-39)

56th annual Delta Exhibition at Arkansas Arts Center, 501 E. 9th St., Little Rock: This exhibition, founded in 1956, will feature contemporary work from Arkansas artists and those in surrounding states. The exhibition has evolved to include works that showcase a dynamic vision of artists in the Mississippi Delta region. For more on the exhibition, click here. It will be open through Sept. 28.
